Senior BE engineer (PHP, Laravel)

We are an HR platform that helps HR handle as much admin as possible — so they have time for the most valuable thing every company has: its people. Sloneek is used by hundreds of companies across the EU and we’re growing fast.
Right now, we’re tackling scaling of core modules, API performance, and a robust async architecture — and that’s where we need you.
Your Playground (Tech Stack & Focus Areas)

- PHP & Laravel

What you’ll actually be doing
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of new features and functionalities in our app.
- Optimize request loading times and performance.
- Work within a cross-functional team to understand end-user requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, follow coding best practices, and maintain high code quality.
What we’d like you to bring with you
- Strong technical background with knowledge of back-end technologies (5+ years).
- Proficiency in backend development technologies with a good sense of what is and isn’t possible.
- Excellent knowledge of PostgreSQL & RestApi.
- Leading technical design and backend architecture.
- Experience with Unit & Integration testing.
- Awareness and knowledge of best practices in Web & API security and industry regulations.
- Highly developed communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical team members with diverse backgrounds.
- A desire to stay continuously up-to-date on the latest technologies, frameworks, and proven software development practices.
- Data pipeline architecture & Python will definitely be a BIG benefit.
