Sloneek helped us centralise HR for 100+ employees across multiple entities and eliminate manual data entry. Attendance reports that used to take a full working day now take minutes. The HR team finally has time for the things that actually matter.
Panattoni Europe is one of the largest industrial and logistics real estate developers in Europe. The local HR team manages employees across three Czech entities and one Slovak entity, operating with a mix of internal staff and external contractors. This model places high demands on HR process transparency, document management, and attendance tracking across different forms of employment.
HR at Panattoni
One of Panattoni’s defining characteristics is that salaries are paid in advance: payroll for the current month is processed while the month is still ongoing. This significantly raises the bar for data accuracy, as any error in attendance records or documents has immediate financial consequences.
Yet the HR team was managing employee information, attendance, financial conditions, and documents across multiple locations and formats. Communication ran primarily through email, where important information was easily lost and there was no way to ensure staff were working with the most up-to-date version of any document.

Challenges before Sloneek
The biggest problem was fragmented HR data. Information about employees, including their attendance records, financial terms, and documents, was stored in different places and formats: internal drives, Excel spreadsheets, and Word documents, with no connection between them.
The most critical pain point was the manual attendance tracking and reporting process. Employees filled in attendance in Excel, their manager approved it, HR reviewed it and manually retyped it into a consolidated report for the payroll team. Data had to be filtered by hand, activities and absences cross-checked; the whole process could consume an entire working day.
Document management was equally fragmented. The absence of a unified system for HR document workflows meant that communication about contracts, personal documents, and internal policies happened almost entirely by email, with information frequently lost and no version control in place.
A large part of HR and managers’ time was spent on day-to-day operations rather than on development and strategic activities.
Implementing Sloneek
Implementation took place in close collaboration with the full Sloneek team, though it was far from straightforward. Panattoni’s central IT department in Poland had specific security requirements, including the need to operate in a single-tenant environment. At the time, Sloneek was working through ISO certification in the area of GDPR compliance while simultaneously preparing a tailored solution for Panattoni. This pre-implementation phase required extended negotiations and alignment across all parties.
Once the final solution was agreed, the implementation itself moved quickly, completed within a matter of weeks. Benefits became visible relatively soon, and in some areas practically immediately, including attendance tracking and activity reporting.
“We greatly appreciate the professionalism, patience, and willingness of the Sloneek team during communication with our IT department. They were available throughout, helped us find tailored solutions, and genuinely cared about our specific needs. Given the unique way we operate, it was a learning experience on both sides,” says Sarka Svobodova, HR Director at Panattoni.
How Sloneek helped
Sloneek became a daily-use tool for HR, managers, and employees alike. The most heavily used modules are attendance and activity tracking, reporting, and document management.
With data now centralised, everyone has access to the same information at the same time. Employees monitor their own attendance and leave, managers review team overviews across locations, and HR generates payroll reports in minutes rather than hours.
The shift in document management has been equally significant: from handover protocols and internal policies through to controlled document workflows and verifiable confirmation that employees have acknowledged internal rules.
Sloneek also streamlines preparation for regular internal HR audits (including those conducted by BDO) and helps meet reporting obligations such as JMHZ statistics. The ability to create custom fields in Sloneek will make data collection and reporting considerably easier going forward.
“Attendance tracking, onboarding, and document management are areas we simply can’t imagine handling any other way now,” says Sarka Svobodova, HR Director at Panattoni.
Results
Introducing Sloneek delivered measurable improvements across HR operations.
Attendance report processing has been reduced from a full working day to a matter of minutes. Overall time savings are estimated at approximately a quarter of a working day, around two hours every day, across HR and management. As Panattoni extends Sloneek’s use into further areas, even greater efficiency gains are expected.
Error rates have dropped significantly across every area where Sloneek is used. Data traceability, always working from the current version of documents, and readiness for both internal and external audits are now standard. Centralising employee information in a single location has made audit processes noticeably faster and simpler.

Time saved for what actually matters
With routine administration out of the way, the HR team can focus on strategic activities: employer branding, effective recruitment, talent acquisition, and employee development. One tangible result is that Panattoni is currently running the second year of its Management Academy, a year-long leadership development programme.
Structured competency models and KPI frameworks are next on the agenda; these are areas the HR team now has the bandwidth to address properly.
Selecting Sloneek
The decision to choose Sloneek originated from HR identifying its own needs, but the business case required buy-in from the top. Both the CEO and CFO were involved in the final decision. For leadership, the key factor was the prospect of freeing up capacity through HR process automation, enabling the HR team to direct more energy towards strategic activities that directly support company growth.
A word for other companies
According to Panattoni, the value of Sloneek is best seen in everyday work: not in any single feature, but in how everything works together. The system brings order, visibility, and time savings across the entire HR agenda.
“Without Sloneek, our HR processes today would be incomplete.” Sarka Svobodova, HR Director, Panattoni
